Entry for GMTK Game Jam 2024 "Built to Scale"
Reach the top of hell to go back into the world of living!
The game has a short cutscene when first launch, play on full screen for the best experience
Controls Cat :
- [A/D] to move around!
- [W/Space] to jump! Jump on the enemy to eliminate it and gain height You can DOUBLE JUMP!
Blocks :
- The falling blocks will follow you
- [J/L] to rotate block
- [K] to lock it in place for 1 second, then it'll quickly falls.
The cat and the demons can get crushed from the blocks, so be careful!
"The cat taunt the devil, making him smack his desk with anger, and drop the block."
- Align all blocks in straight line will heal to full and grant MASSIVE score!

Oh, it's a bug that we found right after the jam's submission. You've already reached the end (You win!). But the progress bar won't stretch to the edge of screen as it suppose to.
It will be fix after we're able to update the game when jam's vote is closed. Sorry for the misleading bug that you've encountered . Thanks for the report though! :)

This is really well made for a 4 day game jam!
Creativity:
Very creative and funny concept. It fits the theme well, much cat! Platforming tetris is a great unexplored idea! It took me way too long to realize i have double jump. The style of the game is great!
Art:
Practically 10/10 Really amazing graphics, and smooth animations. I saw no visible flaws in the game art and the design is great. I feel like the UI is a bit messy in a way where the important and unimportant parts of the UI get mixed together (especially in the main menu) and the player's eyes will be going all over the screen. But it looks great!
Sound Design:
I LOVED the music, really fitting and fun, the sound design was flawless and thank you for the sound slider <3

Overall this is a very polished and fun experience, and this is something to be really proud of releasing in this state in this short amount of time. AMAZING job! :)
Great and fun, but can't complete the game due to the critical bug that suddenly make me game over while I still have more than 1 HP and didn't take any damage. First I thought game have time limit but it seem like it isn't that case, it just randomly gameover during the game play.
Are you sure it's not the win screen? If you reach 80km you reach the land of the living!
Oh if 80km is victory then yeah, from UI I thought it's game over because the bar on the left didn't reach the top yet.

Awesome artwork and sound. Felt a bit like patting your head and rubbing your tummy at the same time with the controls. Which is a bit tough in the tight space you have to move. Great concept though.
